A view westward taken in 1981 from a light aircraft circling Baginton airport. In the foreground are the meanders of the river Avon between SP366744 and SP367740. Cattle are grazing to the east of the river whilst sheep appear to be grazing on the western bank and a difference in the grazing land can be seen. In the middle distance is a large factory site now occupied by Middlemarch business park. Beyond the factory is the runway of Baginton airport, lined with spectators at an air show. The white buildings on the far side of the runway are airport buildings and hangars. The group of white buildings towards the horizon are the campus of the University of Warwick and the houses in the distance on the right are in the Finham area of southern Coventry.
