The size of the postbox in the wall of Revenge Hair Design, on the corner of Clarence Street and Bridge Street (ahead) looks inappropriate in current-day Pontypool, when much of the central area has a rundown appearance, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2451655 with many empty properties. The postbox bears the initials GR which date it between 1910 and early 1936, an era when central Pontypool was prosperous.
