Stagecoach introduced its Route 11 service on February 28th 2011. Every day except Sundays and Bank Holidays, the service operates clockwise around Monnow Way, Bettws, Newport, then heads for Cwmbran bus station via Malpas Road, Llantarnam Industrial Park, Cwmbran Drive, and Asda Cwmbran. The return journey does not call at Asda. Frequency is every 20 minutes from about 8am to 6pm. Journey time from Bettws to Asda Cwmbran is about 15-20 minutes, depending on where on Monnow Way you board. The bus here is waiting at a stop on Monnow Way, Bettws, just past the Bettws Hill junction.
