The western block of the Edwardian barracks with a glimpse of the Pentland Hills on the right. It has long been widely rumoured that the barracks are perishing cold in the winter months, thus giving rise to the apocryphal tale that two sets of barracks were originally designed, one to be built in Scotland and the other in India...only thanks to bureaucratic bungling the blueprints got mixed up. So, somewhere in India local recruits suffocate in sweltering heat while their Scottish counterparts suffer the exact opposite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redford_Barracks
