View eastward, towards the buffer-stops on Platform 1; ex-GWR main line London terminus. 'Castle' 4-6-0 No. 7006 'Lydford Castle' (built 6/46, withdrawn 12/63) is beside the Parcels platform extending out from Platform 1, with the 16.55 to Cheltenham (St James) (due 19.40) - first stop Kemble.
