This hotel is in a collection of several 17th/18th century buildings and later additions. These have had various previous uses including sanatorium, literary institute, private houses, butcher's shop and public library. In the 1960's, all the buildings became a hotel called The Dorchester. A subsequent owner kept a collection of stuffed birds which it is said led to the hotel being eventually called The Feathers. It is now under new ownership. Image
