Taken in May 1970, this photo shows The Avenue with trolleybus wiring suspended from traction poles. Bradford trolleybuses on route 37 used this road from the 15th July 1956 until the 30th May 1970, a few days after this photo was taken. Some of the traction poles are still used for street lighting whilst others have been taken out.
