The News International printing plant at Eurocentral Rail Terminal near Motherwell cost £56 million and was officially opened by Scotland's First Minister, the Rt. Hon. Alex Salmond in April 2008. The building houses the largest and fastest newspaper printing press in the world and the plant currently prints northern editions of The Sun, The Times, The Sunday Times, News of the World, The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Mail as well as the Glasgow Solicitors Property Guide and a number of regional titles including The Edinburgh Evening News, The Falkirk Herald and Fife Free Press. The building straddles two gridsquares. This is the view from the north from the A8.
