It is still unusual to find distances marked in kilometres on English signposts. This one, at a junction of two rights of way, points the way to Clayton (2km) with a link to the Lee Valley Walk 4.5km away. In the opposite direction, hidden behind a tree trunk, the directions are to Bumbles Green (1.5km) and a link to the Stort Valley Way (1km).
