The doors are locked and there's no one in the office... Sadly, this company has ceased trading. The following notice was posted on the Perth & Kinross Council website: - Following the announcement that local bus company Crieff Travel is to cease trading after close of business on Friday 1 April 2011, the Council's Public Transport Unit has put in place alternative arrangements for the bus routes involved. From Saturday 2 April 2011, the following bus operators will take over the operation of the local bus services as detailed: Service Number 45 Route: Crieff Town Service New Operator: Sweeney's Garage Service Number 47 Route: Crieff - Muthill - Braco - Dunblane - Stirling New Operator: Stagecoach Perth Service Number 155 Route: Crieff - Madderty - Perth New Operator: Docherty's Midland Coaches There will be no changes to current routes and timetables. These arrangements will continue for several months to allow the Council to formally retender the local bus service contracts involved. Alternative arrangements will also be put in place for the various school buses undertaken by Crieff Travel. Parents/guardians will be contacted by letter with full details of their child's new transport provision prior to Monday 18 April 2011, when the new school term begins following the Easter break.
