As a former Edinburgh resident who moved out to the coastal delights of East Lothian in the late 1990s, I am appalled by the current state of Edinburgh. It is rude, dirty, scruffy, congested and plagued by road works, road closures and ever changing traffic management schemes that are a hazard to pedestrians. Here's an example in Queensferry Street.
