View northward, towards Filton Junction, Severn Tunnel etc. No. 1000 'County of Middlesex', the first Hawksworth 'County' (built 8/45, with double-chimney), is entering Stapleton Road station on the Up Fast line. The signal gantry on the left anticipate the junction with the line to Clifton Down and Avonmouth.
