The Rashleigh Almshouses in Polmear were originally built in around 1800 by William Rashleigh and extended at various times in the 19th century. They were restored in 1977 by the Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust, at which time the seven almshouses and small attached hospital were converted into three cottages.
