Red kites (Milvus milvus) are common in the Chilterns following their successful reintroduction a few years ago. But I have never seen as many together as this group. I can make out 20 in the original of this picture. I can only presume that someone must have left some food for them. After we finished our walk we returned by road half an hour later but they had all dispersed.
