Seen from much the same spot as Martin Bodman's 1995 contribution: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/38386, with St Giles' church visible in the distance. His shot, taken in mid-August, shows a good deal of emergent vegetation, not to be seen in late April. Otherwise, it seems that in 16 years trees had grown up on the left bank of the river, obscuring the view of the redbrick houses which are central in Martin's shot.
