Only a cross on the older OS maps, and the name, betrays the fact that behind this roadside cottage (now a holiday home) lie the ruins of a chapel with its burial ground, lost to view under a mantle of brambles, ivy and thicket. A few tilted gravestones can be discerned at the top of the garden but the rest have been abandoned to nature.
