Until the A12 Breydon Bridge was built, Haven Bridge was the only bridge crossing the River Yare in Great Yarmouth. Despite the new bridge, Haven Bridge is still very busy. This is a double bascule bridge and is opened regularly to allow large pleasure craft to pass from the Broads to the North Sea, through the harbour.
