Travelling south down the M6 it's often tempting to come off at Junction 36 and head down the A6070 just to get this close up view of Farleton Knott. The great prow of the fell catches the setting sun and is often a colourful sight with its expanses of bare limestone, scree and patches of gorse and scrub.
