Nottingham Canal: roosting pigeons

Despite the deterrent spikes, large numbers of pigeons roost in the girders supporting the canal bridges. This one is under the bridge carrying Wilford Road. (The shadows might suggest a flash photo, but they were caused by light reflected from the water, even on a dull morning.)
