Plaque on the entrance gateway to Mote Park, Maidstone

The inscription states that Mote Park was acquired by purchase for public use in 1928. The park was opened to the public the following year. It contains 180 hectares of parkland including a lake, woodland, a leisure centre, and various other facilities for the enjoyment of people of all ages.
