There is an avenue of trees running north-west towards Hampden House. Although it is less prominent the further away from the house you are, and this far away the land is mainly arable farmland, this tree and the footpath give the first indication of the route. Successive years seem to have seen a reduction in the area of this field cropped, so this area has the remains of two lots of previous crops, oil seed rape and legumes.
