Modbury: the ridge road

An ancient route: it runs from Whitcombe Cross, in North Huish parish, along the ridge between the valleys of the Sheepham Brook and the Lud Brook. It junctions with the Yealmpton-Modbury road in the Erme valley. Another indicator of its age is that it acts as the boundary between Modbury, to the south, and Ugborough and Ermington parishes, to the north
