Old Jewish burial ground by Colby's Gate, Great Yarmouth

The burial ground is situated by Colby's Gate near the junction of Alma Road and Blackfriars Road, just outside the old town wall. Backing onto the old town wall to the west and surrounded by a brick wall at front and sides, it can be accessed by a (locked) wooden door. A local newspaper article dated 1928 mentions 18 graves in two rows, I counted altogether 10 still standing on occasion of my recent visit. All stones - the earliest dating from 1802 > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2399425 - are inscribed in Hebrew and English, much is still readable.
