This 17th century house was originally built by Inigo Jones for Sir Basil Dixwell. In the early 20th century it became the home of Lord Kitchener of Khartoum. It is now a hotel catering, for the most part, for golfers who use the course on the estate (hence the golf bag in the bottom right hand corner of the photo).
