Netham Lock, Bristol - looking down the Feeder Canal

A key feature of the Bristol Floating Harbour scheme - dating from the early 19th Century. It controls access to and from the Avon via the Feeder Canal and prevents very high tides (which can reach beyond Netham by way of the Avon New Cut) from flooding the Harbour.
