Chorley Evangelical Free Church in St Georges Street. The Evangelical Free church in St George's Street stands on the site of a former Independent Chapel and graveyard. The chapel was probably built in 1792 following a visit to the town by John Wesley in 1780. An old stone post, probably dating to the time of the earlier chapel, stands at the south-east corner of the site - Image
