This end of the High Street is up the hill from the Town Bridge which crosses the Wey. The Guildford Hotel [since renamed Radisson Blu Hotel, then Harbour Hotel] on the left still carries the distinctive knight on horseback figure above its door, recalling former days as the White Horse Hotel. The mock Tudor buildings with clock in the distance are at the fork where roads split for Burpham & London (left) and Merrow & Epsom (right).
