Level Crossing Gates

These gates are at Bradpole level crossing on the former railway line that ran from Maiden Newton to Bridport and West Bay. This section of line closed in 1975. They are not the original gates, but new ones made by local carpenters John Gale and Bernie Joy as a memorial to the old railway.
