Trolleybus No.25 waits for time at the main town centre stop in Corporation Street before continuing its journey to Kimberworth. The buildings behind were replaced by a multi-storey car park which itself has disappeared. Note the chock placed behind the front wheel to prevent any possibility of the bus rolling backwards in the event of a brake failure. This was obviously a leftover from prewar days when the mechanics of vehicles were much less reliable.
