Hospitium of the Grey Friars, Queen Street

The former lodge of the Grey Friars, dating mainly from the 14th century but with 17th-century additions. The first recorded mention of a church and convent here is a charter of doubtful authenticity from 1268. It is also mentioned in 1384-5 and 1559. The lower floor of the building is now used as a social day centre for the elderly.
