Here the hot liquor (brewing water) is steaming out of the mash tun at the beginning of the brewing process where Image and other malts plus hops are magically transmogrified into real ale! Abbeydale have been brewing since 1996, increasing demand has required the construction of this new plant. One interesting feature is the blackout paint on the skylight, this is believed to have been applied as part of air raid precautions in WW2 when the site used for far less interesting purposes!
