Looking west. The Chase is in fact the name of this short piece of road linking Blackborough Road with the top part of Whitepost Hill, but is treated by many drivers as if it were part of a racing circuit. There is, however, another longer part of The Chase, which is the road off to the left just visible in the background. This is in fact part of an old route, now partly road, partly footpaths, that linked Whitepost Hill and its extension Mill Street, (one of the oldest routes in the area) to Cockshot Hill, ending up as seen in Image I am indebted to Mr Ian Capper for this information.
