The substantial barrier between the Belfast – Bangor railway and the Sydenham bypass (speed limit 50mph). Barriers of this type were erected in the wake of the incident on the M62, near Selby in 2001, where a vehicle left the road hitting a train on the railway. Ten people died in the crash.
