Sherwin Road dips under a low bridge which carries the railway north to Radford, where the line to the Erewash Valley line at Trowell diverges from the Robin Hood Line to Mansfield and Worksop. The family of the Great War air ace Albert Ball VC lived in the left-hand semi of the pair on the left next to the railway before settling in a much grander house in The Park Estate - Image
