The valley is deep and narrow, and meanders considerably between Rhandirmwyn and the Llyn Brianne reservoir. The track on the right is an old one to a disused slate quarry about 1600 metres away at Chwarel Ystrad-ffin (SN78704605). Apparently it had a tram-line too, which shows better here: Image
