On the other side of the fence is the M67 motorway driven through Hyde in the late 70s destroying many streets and dividing others. On this side of the fence a footpath links the remnants of Grafton Street and Pitt Street to the two ends of Clark Way (Hyde's Northern bypass). Two footbridges cross the motorway leading to each end of the bus station.
