This artwork is located beside a roundabout, from which a road leads to a supermarket (Image). The sculpture is set among the trees that are visible behind the sign in Image; it recalls the shipbuilding heritage of the area. For example, the 1862 OS map shows Daniel Rankin's "Victoria Shipbuilding Yard", located just to the south of the area that is now occupied by the supermarket. Not far to the west, on ground that would later be occupied by a distillery, was Archibald McMillan's shipyard (see Image and Image).
