This window situated in the D'Arcy Chapel, was unveiled on 5th July 1928 and dedicated by the Bishop of Chelmsford to the memory of Laurence Washington, Rector of the nearby village of Purleigh, Laurence was the Great Great Grandfather of George Washington the first President of the USA. The window was given by the citizens of Malden, Massachusetts and depicts many of the ideals and events from American history.
