Introduction

The photograph on this page of Where's the river then? by Stephen Craven as part of the Geograph project.

Where's the river then?

The sign reads "Thames Path - Greenwich - in emergency ring 999 - ask for coastguard quote site ref GR3". But standing near it one cannot see the river. These signs have been erected at intervals all along the Thames Path, but it does seem pointless to include them on sections where the Thames Path is not actually along the riverbank!
