With view of the timber-framed Canons Garth. This was originally The Vicarage. In 1860 it became two cottages before falling derelict. In 1893 it was restored and used by the Sisters of the Holy Rood. In 1953 it was divided into houses, one for use by the curate. From: Helmsley, by A. Pickup.
