Empty shop units awaiting demolition, Commercial Road, Swindon

These units formed part of the Market Hall, and were let out to various businesses. When this picture was taken, the Market Hall had been virtually all demolished, but these units were still standing, although empty. Probably the tenants had only just left. The road in the distance is Market Street; that on the right is Commercial Road. The unit on the right was occupied by Harry Conn, and was numbered 73E Commercial Road. I can't remember what he sold, but I vaguely recollect it was something collectable. maybe coins, but I could easily be wrong. In the sixties, the unit on the left was occupied by a firm called H J Goodey. I don't know what they sold, or whether they remained there until the end. More photos:- Image
