One of the surviving ex-GC 0-8-0's, LNER Class Q4 No. 3224, rests on a Sunday from its work hauling local goods trains in the area. In 1947 there were two Locomotive Depots at Retford - see Image] - allocated 55 locomotives between them:- 4 4-4-2, 2 4-4-0, 13 2-8-0, 3 0-8-0, 30 0-6-0, 2 0-6-2T, 1 0-4-0T.
