One of the pair of major junctions near Stoke-on-Trent railway station intended to have flyovers, but constructed as conventional roundabouts in the 1970s due to the Callaghan government's bankruptcy. The junctions were rebuilt to the intended standard between 2004-2006 to the relief of road users for many miles around.
