In a fosse by the Fosse. Fosse is the french word for ditch from the latin fossa. This fibreglass statue was in a ditch next to the Fosse Way at the junction of the Fosse Way the A429 and the minor road between Darlingscott and Shipston on Stour. The Fosse way is so called because it had ditches running alongside the roman road.
