This view from Tooting Bec Common looks towards the southern side of the embankment for the railway between Streatham Hill and Balham, although here the Streatham Hill Carriage Sidings are at the top of the slope. The 'Bec' in Tooting Bec relates to the historic link of the area to Bec Abbey in Normandy
