A Strange crop

A small planting of maize, just in view along the fence line in front of the trees is a blue drum which I believe is being used as a pheasant feeder. This small planting seems to be here in order to encourage the local pheasant population to feed and stay in the locality, convenient for when the shooting season gets under way.
