A closer view of the fine old house seen in Image] It is Grade II* listed (see listing here http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-42798-wellwick-manor-ellesborough ) and this listing tells us that it dates originally from 1616 with alterations in the C17th & C18th. It also informs us that the central mullioned and transomed window, an original feature, is now blocked.
