Weir and footbridge at Darley Abbey

This is one of the weirs constructed to provide the head of water which powered Thomas Evans's mills, "the most complete of surviving complexes in the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site", according to the nearby information board. The precarious-looking footbridge is incomplete and no longer in use.
