The nave was originally built as a Chapel of Ease in 1868. Thereafter many additions were made through the rest of the 19th century, with the tower and south aisle being consecrated around the turn of the 19th into the 20th century. The architect was Ewan Christian, who was a prominent ecclesiastical architect of his generation. Image Image
