The city of Worcester is famous for its porcelain, the factory dating back to the mid 18th century. G.R. Pratley & Sons must be one of the oldest if not the oldest retailer in the city, this retailer of china and glass was established in 1881 on The Shambles. Descendants of the founder still run the business.
